Love, Lucie by Marita Conlon-McKenna – review

The death of Lucie's Mother hits her family hard and they struggle to cope without her. She and her big sister Chloe don't get along very well and turning eleven is another challenge she is faced with. What will she do without her Mum?

I loved this book and especially Lucie because it was lovely when she talked about her feelings and it felt really nice knowing that she still talked to her Mum as if she were there with her. I liked the part in the book when they were on holiday in France and they forget about the sad year eventually, remembering to have a good time as a family.

I would recommend this book to teenage readers, especially girls as they will relate to the story. It was quite an easy read but I loved it and give it a big 5/5 stars!
