Christie’s auction house has announced the upcoming sale of a collection of love letters, clothing, jewelry, and other memorabilia from model and muse Pattie Boyd. Boyd, who was married to both George Harrison of The Beatles and Eric Clapton, is parting with items from her time in the 1960s and 70s counterculture.

George Harrison penned the iconic song “Something” for Boyd during their marriage, while Eric Clapton famously expressed his love through the song “Layla.” The auction will feature two love letters from Clapton to Boyd, as well as the original cover artwork for Derek and The Dominos’ album “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.”

Additionally, the auction will include letters and notes from Harrison, along with his handwritten lyrics for the song “Mystical One.” The collection of over 100 lots also contains photographs taken by Boyd, showcasing moments such as The Beatles’ stay at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram in India.

Christie’s head of sale described Boyd’s life and career as integral to the cultural revolution of the 1960s, offering collectors and fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of history. The auction will be open for online bidding from March 8 to 22, with a public display at Christie’s London headquarters from March 15 to 21.

Boyd, now 79, expressed her willingness to part with these cherished items, stating that they represent special moments in her life that she is now ready to share with others. The estimated prices for the items range from 30,000 to 60,000 pounds.
