A resounding victory over Watford on Sunday was perfect preparation for Chelsea, while their opponents had a less than desirable afternoon in Leverkusen, with Frankfurt finding themselves 6-1 down after 40 minutes.

It stayed that way, with Frankfurt avoiding further embarrassment in the second half, but the result will undeniably give Chelsea confidence ahead of their meeting at Stamford Bridge.
