Love Island winners Paige and Finn use ITV villa experience to keep busy in lockdown

Love Island winner Finn Tapp has been sharing some details about his time in isolation with girlfriend Paige Turley.

The former Oxford City footballer made the six-hour trip up the road to be with his beloved in Scotland after lockdown was announced by PM Boris Johnson on March 23.

Finn, 22, was fearful he'd miss the chance to be with his other half as the health crisis worsened as they'd gone back to their separate homes, with Paige in West Lothian and Finn in Milton Keynes.

Finn, who has revealed he is now living out of a suitcase, detailed the whole journey on his new YouTube channel.

He said: "So I made the six-hour drive up to Scotland. It was almost a given that something like this isolation period was going to happen.

"I made the decision to drive up to Scotland so that if it happened, I could be isolating with Paige."

The loved-up pair, who bagged the £50k cash prize from the first ever Love Island winter series in Cape Town in February, are now living together at Paige's family home.

Hunk Finn admitted they're getting on swimmingly, and are used to spending lots of time together after their weeks in the plush South African villa.

Finn admitted they were getting on very well, as he said they are used to being together after spending every day together in the villa.

He went on: "I wanted to isolate with Paige - obviously we are quite used to it being isolated in the villa in South Africa at the start of the year - that being said I haven't got the pool or the views here but it's great to be with Paige.

"We're so used to it so it would be very difficult to be away from each other for so long and I think she likes that I'm here and I hope she's happy."

Finn told fans he was hopeful his sweet gesture had made his new girlfriend, the former flame of singer Lewis Capaldi, happy.

And he explained they would have found it hard to be apart during the devastating pandemic, and have been keeping busy to keep their minds off things.

He added: "It is a strange time that we're in at the minute. It's nothing like a lot of us have experienced in our lifetime before. I think everyone needs to stay happy and stay positive and we'll come out the other end. So keep busy.

"Paige and I have been cycling, running - I say running, Paige follows behind, stops and I catch her back up. But, the eating, that's what difficult.

"We've been trying to eat healthy but... The first couple of days [we had] Pot Noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we thought: 'Nah, can't go on like that. Can't do this for three weeks.

"So, we've started trying to cook a little bit better - having substantial meals.

"I would say Paige has got beans and toast in her locker, I've got a bit more in my locker, so I'm tending to do a lot of the cooking so I'm hoping Paige is liking it!"
