Love Island winner Liam addresses theory he met Millie three years before show

Liam Reardon has addressed fans' theories that he already knew Millie Court before they won Love Island together last week.

The 22-year-old Welsh former bricklayer found love with the 24-year-old Essex girl after a turbulent coupling in the villa on the ITV2 reality show.

There has been a persistent theory that he had met Millie in Ibiza three years ago, in 2018, at Wayne Lineker's O Beach club.

Fans of Love Island have been digging around the internet and have claimed that the pair had posted pics of themselves on social media which show that they were at the party resort just days apart from each other.

It was then claimed that a photo that Liam had posted of him with his mate actually had Millie stood in the background as fans were convinced that a girl in a white bikini was her.

Liam has dismissed the claims though, speaking out in a Instagram Q&A in which he looked to put the rumour to bed.

A fan questioned: "Was Millie actually in that pic of u in Ibiza 3 yrs ago?"

Liam simply replied: "Not sure who it is but it's definitely not Millie."

Fans have said that the girl wearing a white bikini and a sarong is a spitting image for Millie, who was then pictured wearing a swimsuit at the club just a few days later.

Millie and Liam went on to storm their way to victory on Love Island as viewers were captivated with their rollercoaster love story.

After a tumultuous Casa Amor break, Liam and Millie split after it emerged that he had kissed Lillie Haynes three times and had shared her bed while away from Millie.

After a tense few days, Millie allowed Liam back into her life and their romance then blossomed and the viewers voted them to win the show.

Since arriving back in the UK, Liam and Millie have been forced to quarantine separately but are now set to get together again and introduce each other to their families.
