Love Island winner Jack Fincham claims 'fans wanted him and Dani Dyer to fail'

Love Island winner Jack Fincham has claimed that people wanted his relationship with Dani Dyer “to fail” after they coupled up in the villa.

The former pen salesman met Dyer on the summer show where the two stuck up a romance. They later moved in together and bought a puppy.

But Dyer sparked rumours they had called time on their relationship after just six months with an emotional Instagram post claiming they had “realised that it wasn’t meant to be” .

In an interview with Now magazine, which was printed before the statement, Fincham claimed that people “wanted them to fail” and that he “wasn’t sure who to confide in any more”.

Fincham told the publication: “Dani and I got on so well, but people wanted us to fail.

“I'm always really open and I'll chat to anyone and let them know how I'm feeling.

"But now I wonder if I can tell someone about how I'm feeling because of what they might do with that information.”

Days ago, Fincham was allegedly overheard telling friends that Dyer had decided to end the relationship for “publicity” and joked that “he won the show and not her”.

But Dyer soon hit back at trolls commenting on a picture on Instagram, revealing she had been “upset” and “disgusted” by the reaction to the supposed split.

“Right I’m sick to death of seeing posts on how I want money and fame?” she wrote. “Wtf is everyone talking about. Money and fame?!

“Do you really think I’m that tiny minded to just want that. People upset me and disgust me so so much on how they can judge me by a newspaper. Just p*** off and be kind to people.”

The pair are said to have “just had a row” and that everything is “sweet as” now.

Dyer’s father Danny told Jonathan Ross: “I just want to put something to bed. She hasn’t split up with Jack, that’s all b******* that is.

“John, they’ve had a row. They’ve had a row, she’s got a bit emotional and I think she has whacked that [message] up and immediately regretted it.

“You know what women are like… I’m just saying she got a little bit irate, screaming and shouting, the ultimate way to punish him maybe.”
