Love Island winner Amber Gill has revealed a shocking message that landed in her inbox from a brutal troll.
Over a year has now passed since the Gateshead girl triumphed on the ITV2 show, alongside now ex Greg O'Shea and has built up a huge social media following since leaving the villa in first place.
But, while it's a platform that has served her well, the 23-year-old has also revealed the dark side of social media.
During her time in the villa, Amber received vile messages that her devastated friends and family picked up on as they were monitoring her social media while she was on the show.
Then in June, she revealed the criticism she'd received from some people for attending a Black Lives Matter protest in London, where the former beauty therapist now lives, before then sharing the horrific abuse she'd had for posting about the cause.
And then, this week, on the eve of her birthday, Amber woke up to an awful message in her Instagram inbox.
Sharing the message, she sarcastically captioned it "Gorgeous message to wake up to.”
The screengrab read: "Nasty bully [angry emoji] you’re the most boring islander EVER… your Insta content could send a glass eye to sleep [tired emoji].
“The only time you remotely have a personality is when you’re pi**ed… the rest of the time you’re moaning in with that monotone voice lying in bed ALONE while the rest of the islanders from EVERY year are living their best life…"
The troll went on: "Your tongue is out more than you are… what happened to BLM clearly doesn’t [sic],” before the screenshot cut off.
