Love Island winner Amber Gill donates money from clothing line to MIND after Caroline Flack's death

Love Island winner Amber Gill will donate 100% of the profits from her new clothing range to mental health charity Mind until March 1 following Caroline Flack's death.

The Geordie beauty therapist and reality star said she was "heartbroken" over the death of the former presenter, who took her own life earlier this month at the age of 40.

On Tuesday Amber, from Gateshead, announced on Instagram that she wanted to "do something to make a difference" in the wake of the tragedy.

She announced that 100% of the retail price of her clothing range with MissPap will be donated to Mind until March 1.

Amber wrote: "The kindness I’ve seen on the TL has just been so inspiring I had a break from social media but really wanted to do something to make a difference following the tragic news of my friend Caroline.

"My newest  @misspap  ‘Must Haves’ edit launches today and we have joined forces with Mind charity so people don’t have to suffer in the same way.

"Caroline is greatly missed by myself and everyone else but I wanted to take some positive action from it.

"Myself and Misspap will be donating 100% of retail price to Mind (registered charity number 219830) from selected lines from my new edit until 1.03.20."

The first ever winter series of Love Island was overshadowed by the death of former Love Island host Flack, who was found dead in her London flat earlier this month.

How to access mental health care

Whitmore paid tribute to Flack during the live final, held in Cape Town, South Africa, telling viewers that it has been "extremely difficult coming to terms with the loss of our friend and colleague Caroline".

Last week another former contestant Molly-Mae Hague said she would be donating the profits from her Pretty Little Thing collection to Mind.
