Tonight's Love Island will begin with a poignant Caroline Flack montage

Love Island will open with a heart-warming Caroline Flack montage after a two-day break.

Caroline took her life aged 40 in her London flat on Saturday weeks before she was due to go on trial.

In the wake of her tragic death, Saturday's Love Island: Unseen bits and the normal instalment on Sunday were cancelled.

Monday's Aftersun has also been cancelled out of respect to Caroline.

However, ITV bosses will plough ahead with Monday's instalment of the reality television show.

Caroline's death remains a secret from all of the contestants isolated in the South African villa.

To commemorate Caroline's high-flying career as a presenter on the show, bosses have compiled a montage celebrating her best moments.

Producers were said to be hoping this sequence will be a "fitting tribute" to the well-loved television personality.

A source told the MailOnline: "Tonight's episode of Love Island will begin with a montage of Caroline, that producers are hoping will be a fitting tribute to the star."

The future of Love Island's summer series hangs in the balance.

ITV have been in crisis talks over the future of the show and have yet to reach a conclusion.

Caroline's death is the third death to be linked to Love Island after Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.

The presenter stepped down from her hosting duties with Winter Love Island after she was charged with assault by beating.

She was arrested and charged following an alleged early-morning altercation with her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Caroline pleaded not guilty while her tennis coach boyfriend begged the CPS to drop the charges and maintained she was innocent.

Her last social media post was a playful set of pictures with her dog Ruby whom her BFF has vowed to look after.

Lewis poured his heartache into his latest post as he said he was heartbroken forever following her death.

The troubled reality star was due to return to court on March 4, just three weeks away from now.

Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling led the celebrity tributes paying their respects to Caroline.
