Love Island: Why Siânnise and Luke T could be real winners by coming second

Coming second isn't always terrible - or that is what some Love Island fans are saying after Bristolian Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman finished the show as runners-up.

Many Love Island fans are over the moon for show winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, but some feel Siânnise and her partner were very close to securing the top spot.

The couple missed out on the £50k prize money against champions Paige and Finn, but a new theory by viewers suggests coming second place is better off for the contestants, the Mirror reports.

Twitter fans say it's actually very encouraging for their future relationship.

According to eagle-eyed fans, many of the couples who are still together actually came second place following their stint in the villa, and are still going strong.

Most recently, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury came second place to Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea - they now share a Manchester flat and are still very much in love six months later.

Meanwhile Amber and Greg split within weeks of leaving the Mallorcan villa.

Stunning couple Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt lost out to Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay in 2017, but the pair are still in a thriving relationship years later.

2016 sweethearts Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland came second to Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey, and now both couples are happily married.

Siânnise and Luke had a successful journey on the show, and the pair are planning to move in together before they eventually get married.

They intend on taking their relationship to the next level by looking for properties and eventually get hitched in a fairytale-style wedding.

Speaking about their plans to move in together, Luke said: "I'm from Luton and Siânnise is from Bristol. We're thinking we'll move to wherever is in the middle. We think the middle is in Windsor."

And when asked if they could have a "fairytale" like Harry and Meghan, Siânnise said that would be "perfect" as she vowed to do whatever it takes to stay with Luke.
