Love Island voting figures released and the results show just how close the final was

The first winter series of Love Island saw Paige Turley and Finn Tapp crowned the winners.

Paige and Finn won a huge £50,000 after the public voted for them in the final, which aired earlier this month.

The loved-up couple only won the Love Island vote by 1% more than Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge, however, who got second place.

Official voting figures show Paige and Finn won 44.52% of the vote while runners-up Luke T and Siannise received a 43.61% share of the votes.

Third place went to Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones who won 9.62% of the vote.

While Jess Gale and Ched Uzor came fourth, garnering 2.25% of the vote.

This year's finalists won the hearts of the nation, so the tiny margin may not come as a surprise.

During the final, many ITV viewers took to social media to share their conflict over who should win.

Prior to the final, one Twitter user wrote: "Can we just have joint winners and give it to Siannise, Luke T, Finn and Paige."

Another added: "Rooting for Luke T and Siannise and Finn and Paige. Both couples are cute, really don’t mind who wins."

While a third commented: "I’m so torn between Finn and Paige and Luke T and Siannise, can they all win."

Since the show ended winners Paige and Finn have discussed moving in together while Luke T and Siannise have been visiting their home towns of Luton and Bristol together.

Love Island is expected to return in Summer 2020.
