Love Island viewers to see scenes outside the villa as the islanders enjoy a day out

After Friday night's drama-packed episode, Love Island fans have what feels like a long wait until Sunday night's return of the main show.

Viewers were left stunned after the tense scenes from the villa aired on Friday night - and the next episode looks set to be just as explosive.

As the viewers enjoy a break on Saturday night, the action will return on Sunday, with the villa receiving some big news.

In a preview shown at the end of Friday night's episode, the islanders are gathered in the bedroom as Jake Cornish receives a text telling them they're about to enjoy a day out.

"Islanders, it's time to get up and go as you will be spending the day at the Vibes club," he reads out to his excited housemates as they all sit in their respective beds.

Overjoyed at the prospect of enjoying some time away from the villa, the islanders jump out of bed upon hearing the news about what producers have planned for them.

Narrator Iain Stirling also reveals that the results of viewers votes will also be revealed, hinting that the villa may be heading for another dumping or recoupling.

Viewers were divided after Friday night's shocking scenes, with many expressing concern about the behaviour from 26-year-old Faye Winter as she handled seeing the scenes from Casa Amor.

The lettings agent was visibly enraged after watching clips from the producers during Movie Night, yelling at anyone that crossed her path.

The blonde beauty was visibly upset over learning partner Teddy Soares had admitted to being sexually attracted to other women, going on to end things with the 26-year-old following dramatic scenes.

Faye also clashed with water engineer Jake, as his sneaky ways at Casa Amor was finally exposed to the girls.

Fans were split on how Faye handled the situation, with some suggesting she in a good enough place to handle appearing on Love Island.

"On a serious note, we talk A LOT about toxic masculinity, gaslighting etc when it comes to men - and in many instances rightfully so - but can we just make it clear that it’s NOT OK for women to scream at men the way Faye has screamed at Teddy #LoveIsland," one fan observed on Twitter following Friday night's show.

"I was really rooting for Faye and Teddy but seeing the way she’s just treated him i’m glad it’s over because she would only get worse but i feel awful for teddy #LoveIsland," one added.

Thanks to Casa Amor antics being revealed, not many couples within the villa appear to be in a good place, with Liam Reardon and Millie Court ironically being the least affected by the movie night footage.

Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole, the only official couple on the show, were rocked when Jake's comments about Liberty's sex appeal were shown on the makeshift screen, leaving the Brummie student heartbroken and upset.

Will a day out away from the villa repair the damage done on Friday night's show, or do the producers have a trick up their sleeves to cause even more chaos?

The main Love Island show continues on ITV2 at 9pm on Sunday night.
