Love Island viewers 'vow to complain to Ofcom' over brutal Casa Amor recoupling

ITV2 producers have angered Love Island fans thanks to their controversial decision to split the Casa Amor recoupling over two episodes - leaving frustrated viewers on a cliffhanger after Thursday night's show.

Fans had been promised drama ahead of last night's episode but instead, only got to witness two recouplings as the boys return to the villa after spending the week amongst temptation.

Viewers had been expecting to find out the fate of Liam Reardon and Millie Court during the episode, as well as learn whether the postcard from Casa Amor turned Faye Winter off partner Teddy Soares or if she sticks by her man.

However, during the 65 minute episode, only Hugo Hammond and Chloe Burrows, and Abigial Rawlings and Toby Aromolaran 's recouplings were aired - with the popular dating show ending on yet another cliffhanger.

Furious fans took to social media to air their anger at the producer's decision to milk the Casa Amor drama - with some even threatening to call Ofcom due to the trauma of the delay.

"No tomorrow night? And another cliffhanger? I will be making my ofcom complaint," one Love Island fan quipped, while another declared: "Tonights ending was absolutely criminal, I’m deffo heading back to the ofcom website again #LoveIsland"

A fourth added: "I actually so annoyed about how #LoveIsland ended I'm putting my pen to paper like I'm Shakespeare and writing to Ofcom."

Love Island fans had been eager to finally find out whether 21-year-old Liam would be walking back into the villa with a new girl on his arm, or does he stay loyal to unaware fashion buyer Millie?

The bricklayer from Wales has had his head well and truly turned during the lads' holiday to Casa Amor, sharing a bed and a kiss with new bombshell Lillie Haynes.

Oblivious to the extent of the disrespect her beau is paying her, 24-year-old Millie has remained loyal to her partner - pining for the Welsh hunk from the Love Island villa during their time apart.

Over the last few days, fans have been debating which lady Liam will choose when it comes to recoupling and, thanks to last night's cliffhanger, viewers will finally find out on Friday night's show as the love triangle story comes to an end one way or another.

Prepared for the worst, some Love Island fans think that the cheating Islander will return to the villa with newbie Lillie, leaving a heartbroken Millie standing alone by the fire pit.

"if liam walks in with lillie can we all agree to vote them off asap and get millie to win like amber #LoveIsland" one forward-thinking viewer tweeted ahead of Friday's show which will reveal their fate.

Another wrote: "No but imagine Liam coming home with a new girl and having to hand Millie her necklace back!!! I will legit be proper devastated !! #loveisland"

One sharp fan spotted a clue that Liam had already made his mind up: "see when Liam said “I didn’t want to disrespect Millie until I spoke to her” in regards to doing more than kissing. He’s picking Lillie and bringing her back to the villa AND wants Millie to ok it. Men are sick #LoveIsland"

However, some believe that Liam will return to the villa with nothing but his wandering eye.

"Liam is going to go home to Millie now he’s had his fun! Poor teddy will walk in alone and Faye will be with that lad!" predicted one fan on Twitter, with another writing: "Liam’s gonna go back single to Millie and she’ll think he’s stayed loyal. She deserves so much better #LoveIsland"
