Love Island viewers slam Gemma Owen after they claim 'bitter' reaction to Davide's romantic gesture proves 'fake' friendship with Ekin-Su

Love Island viewers were all left saying the same thing after Sunday night's episode.

Fans slammed Gemma Owen for her "bitter" reaction to a romantic gesture Davide executed for Gemma's so called best friend in the villa Ekin-Su.

Davide and Ekin have been pegged as fan favourites to win the show after the pair survived many ups and downs before reuniting stronger than ever.

Sunday night saw Italian Stallion Davide make a tiramisu for Ekin as he asked her if she would like to be exclusive.

Of course, Ekin had a taste of the dish before saying yes to Davide and announcing the good news to the villa.

However, not all the islanders seemed too happy for the loved-up couple.

Gemma was seen heading over to partner Luca to reiterate that although they have been exclusive for longer than other couples in the villa, they did not feel the need to come up with an extravagant gesture.

Nudging into Luca, Gemma said she rathered that they kept things between themselves and didn't announce their plans to the villa.

But fans of the show were less than impressed with the 19-year-old's reaction to the news.

Taking to Twitter, they said: "I LOVE THEM BOTH BUT … If anyone was bitter it was Gemma not Luca".

A second said: "Not Gemma being bitchy towards Ekin-Su and Davide's moment".

"I'm beginning to think that Gemma and Luca are 2 faced, why are they not happy for Davide and Ekin-Su? And it's not the first time Gemma's made comments behind Ekin Su's back either, same with Luca," said a third.

While a fourth commented: "Who's gonna tell Ekin-Su that Gemma is not her friend? She was not happy for her when she became exclusive with Davide, and couldn't have seemed more bitter."
