Love Island viewers 'shook' by major plot twist leaving all couples at risk

Love Island fans certainly weren't expecting the major plot twist that arrived at the end of tonight's dramatic re-coupling episode.

Anna Vakili and Maura Higgins were the last ones standing after the boys chose the girls they want to couple up with.

This would usually mean that the remaining singletons are given their marching orders from the villa, but tonight the show dropped a bombshell in the shape of two new arrivals Jordan Hames and Tom Walker.

Anna and Maura will now date the two boys while another surprise twist has left the couples in jeopardy.

They have each been asked to vote for the couple they think is the least compatible to leave the ITV2 show.

"THAT WAS A BIG PLOT TWIST," yelled one amazed viewer.

"Wait... so this means Anna and Maura are the only safe ones. Plot twist," commented another.

And another said: "I am so angry at that episode I was content with Anna and Maura leaving because all the remaining couples were good and now one of them is getting dumped. I'm shook."

Feisty ring girl Maura, who had her sights set on Manchester boxer Tommy Fury much to the annoyance of his love interest Molly-Mae Hague, has divided fans of the show with her straight talk and saucy comments.

But others have enjoyed the impact she's had on the villa.

"So happy Maura isn’t going home she has brought drama to this year," tweeted one.

But another complained: "I FINALLY THOUGHT WE GOT RID OF MAURA."
