Love Island viewers react after spotting change to latest recoupling

Love Island viewers are all saying the same thing following last night's recoupling.

Monday night's episode of the ITV2 dating show saw Rachel Finni dumped from the villa after new bombshell Teddy Soares choose to couple up with Faye Winter.

Rachel is the third contestant to be dumped from the 2021 series so far. You can see a full list of who's left the show here.

In recent weeks Love Island has come under fire for leaving a number of episodes on cliffhangers, but last night fans were left confused as there was a change to the show's schedule, reports Liverpool Echo.

The episode started with the girls speculating on who they thought the boys were going to couple up with, but just minutes into the show Teddy received a text asking the islanders to gather around the fire pit.

Each boy then chose who they wanted to couple up with before Teddy was last to pick.

He said: "I would like to couple up with this girl because from the moment I met her my mind was completely blown. Her confidence.

"Every time I speak to her, I feel as if she has blown me away and kept me on my toes and that is super important to me."

He then chose Faye, sending Rachel home.

But many fans took to Twitter to say they "weren't ready" for the recoupling after it took place at the start of the episode, rather than being teased on a cliffhanger at the end.

One viewer wrote: "Wait are we getting straight into the recoupling??? Im not ready!!"

While another added: "They're doing the recoupling now… I'm not ready!"

"Glad this recoupling won't drag on for the whole episode," said a third.

While a fourth wrote: "Six mins and already a recoupling? love to see it."

And a fifth commented: "Wait they're doing the recoupling NOW. I wasn't prepared."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
