Love Island viewers left cringing at girls' creepy sex 'graduation' ceremony

Love Island viewers were left cringing and with churning stomachs as the girls' hosted a 'graduation' ceremony to mark the fact that some of them had had sex.

On the same day that it was reported that Love Island bosses had cut sex scenes from the new series to protect the contestants, viewers saw some definite nods to things going on between the sheets between the likes of Millie and Liam, Faye and Teddy and Chloe and Toby.

And then there were left in little doubt as to what had gone on the night before as new girl Priya bizarrely took on the role of a university chancellor to welcome the other girls to their graduation on the terrace.

Handing Millie a cap, Priya declared: "I'd like to certify that Millie has graduated with first class honours. A lot of help from Liam, but this award goes to Millie."

Accepting the cap, Millie said: "I've passed with a first and so has Liam and I'm so happy about it."

Moving onto Faye, Priya said: "Her graduation hasn't been easy. There have been ups and downs; she's been revising hard. The end result worked out with a first class distinction.

Struggling to comprehend what they were watching, one Love Island viewer tweeted: "10 minutes of my day taken up by girls describing sex as a graduation. F**k me love island really peaked in 2019."

A second reacted: "Had enough of this graduation sex talk, make it stop," and a third posted: "These people are getting a graduation on National Tv for sex, before I get one for my acc degree???

As the girls graduation caps were being handed out on the terrace, the boys alluded to their sexual activities with their usual football analogies.

This proved to be equally cringe-worthy viewing as Liam talked about taking the Welsh squad through the 90 minutes before "scoring a hat trick."

Talking about him and Chloe, Toby joked that he'd had a phone call from Gareth Southgate to step up and it "was a dream come true, while teddy joked about his dodgy "first touch."

People watching at home were equally turned off by the lads' chat, with one tweeting: "Can’t believe I’m watching grown talk about having sex in graduation and football terms on NATIONAL TELEVISION what do the families think"
