Love Island viewers complain about the 'sound and picture' as the dating show returns

They've been waiting six months for this, so Love Island viewers were panicked when the sound and picture dropped just moments into the new series launch.

Fans settling down to watch the hit dating show as it moved from Spain to South Africa noticed that the show was interrupted briefly right at the beginning as the camera panned to the new villa in sunny South Africa .

Thankfully viewers didn't miss any of the action, but it was enough to send them into a frenzy.

Host Laura Whitmore (ITV)

"Did my TV just cut out briefly?!!" exclaimed one.

"Why is my quality so bad?" asked another.

"What’s up with the sound and picture? Bloody awful," tweeted another fan.

Viewers were filled with excitement for the start of the first Love Island winter series, the sound of the famous theme tune bringing back memories of last summer.
