Love Island viewers compare 'snakey' Amy to Mean Girls bully Regina George

Love Island viewers have compared Amy Hart to Mean Girls bully Regina George over the ongoing drama with Lucie Donlan.

Air stewardess Amy, 26, has been under fire over the last few days as the girls seemingly froze out surfer babe Lucie.

There have been more than 600 complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom over the "contestants' treatment of Lucie", who has been left in tears over her fall out with Amy.

Fans of the show have now accused Amy of acting like evil queen bee Regina George, played by Rachel McAdams, in the hit 2004 teen movie.

One tweeted: "Amy is just Regina George from Mean Girls."

Another added: " Amy goes on about being one of the girls but she's more Regina George by the day."

A third wrote: "Amy is Regina George in real life... Literally the gal who tells you your outfit is fire when in reality you look like a butch whale just to make herself look better."

Lucie's had a tough ride over the last few days as Amy and the other girls accused her of spending too much time with the boys.

She confessed she prefers spending time with male companions as girls bring "too much drama" - and it seemed to isolate her even further from the group.

It was made worse when her partner Joe also said she was spending too much time with love rival Tommy.

Joe was bombarded which sickening messages online and even accused of being "abusive" for telling her not to hang out with the hunky boxer so much.

He got dumped from the villa this week and his departure left Lucie distraught.

After Joe's exit the girls seemed to start being nicer to Lucie, but viewers are convinced they got a warning from show bosses.

One fan wrote: "The producers must have spoken to the girls for this random turn around."

While another agreed: "All the girls now talking to Lucie saying they want to be friends? I bet producers had something to do with this."

A third chipped in: "Anyone else think the producers had a word with the other girls and told them to include Lucie cause that moment was so out of character ?? #loveisland ".

Amy's family have since spoken out to insist claims of bad behaviour in the villa are "shocking and upsetting," arguing that bubbly blonde is "certainly not a bully".
