Love Island viewers call for Sammy to be removed over 'disgusting' comment to Jess

Love Island viewers want Sammy out of the villa, after a "disgusting" comment to on/off partner Jess on Friday night. The Islander claimed he still needed time to see whether Jess was the girl for him, despite plenty of chances.

Jess was still wanting to pair up with Sammy despite him treating her appallingly over the past few weeks. Despite telling her she was his main focus, he went on to kiss two girls in Casa Amor and shared a bed with one of them, before recoupling with new girl Amber.

Jess returned from Casa to the main villa alone, hoping to reconcile with Sammy only to see he was now with someone else. Sammy downplayed this and his antics in Casa, suggesting he needed options just to see whether him and Jess were the real deal.

As he was questioned over whether kissing two girls and then pairing up with one was really necessary to work out his feelings, he repeated that this was the case and that he needed more time to test things.

On Friday Jess had enough and issued him an ultimatum, refusing to be in a love triangle any longer. But as Jess once again brought up the topic of her feelings for Sammy and not wanting him to get to know Amber and her at the same time, Sammy hit out at her.

He told her to "shut up" before commenting "here we go" as if Jess' feelings on the matter were invalid, not to mention trying to shut her down to stop her having her say.

Viewers were disgusted by his behaviour, especially as Jess continued to hit out at him, calling him out on his behaviour as he repeatedly defended his antics. He also refused to end things with Amber saying Jess needed to give him more time, as if it was what he was owed.

Jess ended up in tears as she realised she was getting nowhere, and was fed up of not being his priority. Sammy then went over to Tyrique and told him what happened, expecting him to have his back over how he spoke to Jess. But Tyrique was having none of it and told him Jess clearly cared, and that he needed to sort things with her before it was too late.

Suddenly this was enough for Sammy to call it quits with Amber, and tell Jess she was the one he wanted - like Jess hadn't said the exact same things as Tyrique moments earlier. Viewers were horrified with Sammy's comments to Jess, with many calling for him to be axed from the show.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Absolutely cannot believe that Sammy actually just told Jess to 'shut up.' Anyone who speaks to someone like that should be kicked off."

Another fan agreed: "why did sammy tell jess to shut up wtf get this man of my tv," while a third said: "Get sammy out, Jess deserves so much better!". A fourth viewer tweeted: "I don’t like sammy!!! after movie night i want him out."

It comes after the dramatic Casa Amor recoupling that saw couples torn apart, and six Islanders axed from the villa.

Bombshells Danielle, Tink, and Gabby were booted out of the villa, while Molly, Amber and Abi got to stay after coupling up with the boys. Former Islander Molly returned and reclaimed Zach, leaving Kady single when she returned from Casa.

As for the male bombshells, Benjamin, Kodie and Zachary were all sent home. Elom, Ouzy and Lochan got a place in the main villa after pairing up with three of the original girls.

Ouzy went in with Ella who ditched her partner Tyrique for the newcomer, causing huge drama and tears. Elom also caused chaos when he and Catherine decided to couple up, leaving Scott single back in the main villa.

Scott was not happy, and neither was Tyrique, and the girls were left facing the consequences of ditching their partners. While Catherine and Scott fired back at each other, Ella ended up in tears as she realised how much she had hurt Ty - but not all viewers sympathised with him, and plenty of fans were pleased to see Ella recouple following recent goings on.

Love Island airs every night at 9pm on Virgin Media and the Virgin Media Player.
