Love Island USA UK start date confirmed - ITVBe show kicks off next week

The hit reality TV show Love Island was a huge success in the UK, so the American version has been commissioned by broadcaster CBS to air the first series of the show on UK TV from next week.

The new series will air on 22 September with the same format that made the original so popular.

The USA series averaged around 2.6million viewers per episode compared to 500,000 UK viewers on the first series.

CBS has already commissioned a second series after deeming the show a success with Love Island fans.
