Love Island 2019 's Lucie Donlan has been accused of only wanting to couple up with Joe Garratt because she knows "he's a classic winner".
The surfer babe has been torn between her first coupling with Joe and boxer Tommy Fury after the boxer stole her away from the sandwich salesman.
She eventually dropped Tommy and went back to Joe, but a new theory suggests she's got an alternative motive for sticking with her first choice.
Sam Bird, who appeared on Love Island last year, is convinced Lucie has a game plan and thinks coupling up with Joe during the first week will help her win.
He told The Sun Online : "If you had to pick a winner, just based on the VT and early days, you'd pick Joe.
"He's a classic winner, Lucie knows that... She seems really competitive...
"I think with her, she's keeping her options open a bit, but knows he's very similar to previous winners."
The last few years the show has been won by couples who got together in the first week and stayed together.
Last year, Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham got together at the first coupling and went on to win, while it was Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies before that.
Sam went on to explain that Love Island isn't actually about finding the one - it's more about playing the game to win the £50,000 prize money.
He added: "People can say you're trying to find love, but for the first week you just want to stay in there.
"You don't want to leave because for your career it won't be as good. A lot of people match up with someone just so they can stay in.
"They'll play the game and couple up with someone they're not too bothered about."
Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
