Love Island: The huge clue that Tommy's head could STILL be turned by Lucie

Last night's Love Island saw a besotted Tommy Fury ask Holly-Mae Hague to be his full-time girlfriend.

But while everyone celebrated publicly, privately Lucie Donlan was left heartbroken after catching feelings for her 'best-mate' Tommy.

Islander Jordan Hames caught her crying in the bathroom and wrapped her up in a hug, soothing, " I know it's not nice to see."

But it might not be game over for Lucie just yet.

Viewers are predicting trouble in paradise for Tommy and Molly after she refused to return his 'I love you' last night - but that's not the only reason.

Relationship expert April Masini says Tommy has accidentally let his true feelings for to Lucie slip on several occasions - including that infamous recoupling when she returned from Casa Amor with hunky George Rains.

"I don’t think we’ve seen the end of Tommy and Lucie," April tells Mirror Online. "Molly-Mae may be Tommy’s forever love - but forever can be short-lived when Tommy keeps friends like Lucie close by.

"Tommy was upset that Lucie went off with George, and that jealousy in men, is powerful. I think it’s going to show up as passion, down the line."

But what about his love for baby-faced Instagram influencer Molly?

They might not realise it, but April believes their relationship is far from a done deal - especially after Molly was accused of entering the show to further her Instagram career.

"No question about it, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury do not have this relationship on lockdown. It’s great — but it’s delicate," April continues.

"Clearly, love on a reality show is worth thousands - and even millions - of pounds. It’s leverage. And it creates relationships that don't go the distance.

"The accusations against Molly have got to be on everyone’s mind - and possibly on Tommy’s. That’s a thorn in a rose, and it could set things off to unravel."

She adds, "This has been a whirlwind romance. And romances that come together quickly, are just as likely to unravel with similar speed."

And as soon as any cracks start to show, that's when April says Tommy could finally turn to Lucie.

"When do friends become lovers? When those late night phone calls or meet ups to discuss trouble in paradise, turn into something more.

"If Tommy realizes Lucie is a true friend who is always there for him, and if he’s having bickering, spats or conflicts with Molly-Mae, his head may turn and his affections may warm towards Lucie.

The pair went on a date at the start of the show, but Lucie chose to couple with Joe Garratt instead (ITV)

"If Tommy realizes Lucie is a true friend who is always there for him, and if he’s having bickering, spats or conflicts with Molly-Mae, his head may turn and his affections may warm towards Lucie.

"I think that he’s going to give her a whirl and see if their friendship becomes more than platonic.

"It may not be today. Or next month. But at some point when the going gets tough, I believe that he’s going to see opportunity in what he now has with Lucie."

* Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
