While none of last year's couples are still together we're staying optimistic and are now very excited as the start date of Love Island has now officially been confirmed.
It's hard to believe that it's nearly been 12 months since Dani and Jack won Love Island and the new series could be on screen sooner than you think.
Dani and Jack were the frontrunners in the villa from day one and while sadly they are no longer together (sobs!) it will soon be time for us all to root for another couple as we get introduced to this year's Islanders.
Earlier this month, Love Island host Caroline Flack got itv2 viewers excited when she said on an Instagram video I have just trained with Bradley Simmons and he was making me do weights that I shouldn't be lifting but he said we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep."
That followed a previous teaser from Flackster when she revealed she'd met this year's Islanders.
And then on May 8 the Love Island Banter page on Facebook posted "WE HAVE A START DATE!
LOVE ISLAND IS RETURNING TO OUR SCREENS ON MONDAY 3RD JUNE! "
A spokesperson for ITV told Chronicle Live then that no offivial start date had been confirmed but now the cat is out the bag that Love Island WILL be back on June 3 and it's down to Caroline Flack.
The Love Island host stars in a trailer which made its debut on Monday.
She introduced this years hashtag - Day Dot Is Coming.
