Love Island stars to decide gender of next bombshell as the girls and boys battle it out

Tuesday night's episode of Love Island ended on a cliffhanger, as it was revealed that the public had voted Lucinda Strafford and Brad McClelland the least compatible couple.

The current islanders now must decide between themselves which one of them goes home, and which one stays.

Whoever is picked to remain an islander may not be single for too long if the pick of a new bombshell arrival goes their way.

On tonight's episode of the popular dating show, viewers will see the contestants battle out in a challenge to decide whether the new love-seeking singleton coming into the villa is male or female.

"Islanders, it’s time to lock horns and ruffle feathers in today’s boys versus girls challenge Stags vs Hens," Kaz Kamwi reads out to the remaining villa residents when she receives a text message.

"Whoever wins gets a new arrival of the opposite sex #gameon #alltoplayfor."

Dressed up in classic hen and stag party outfits, the Islanders compete in games including giant flip cup and hoopla with a cheeky difference.

Rallying the boys, Jake Cornish says: "We’re here for two lads only – Hugo and Aaron."

Hugo Hammond is currently coupled up with Sharon Gaffka, though not in a romantic way, while Aaron Francis is also in a friendship pairing after he saved Kaz on Monday night's dramatic recoupling.

Jake is seemingly a happily taken man himself, with blonde Brummie Liberty Poole, but fans fear his head may be turned when Casa Amor returns.

As the 21-year-old opened up about her feelings on Tuesday night's offering of Love Island, fans rushed to social media to predict her romance with the tattooed hunk ending in tears.

After her teary show of emotion, one viewer wrote: "Liberty is so sweet, this will end in tears"

Another fan tweeted: "Can we form a rescue team to go bust out Liberty before Casa Amour as we all know that’s going to end in tears."

If Jake is looking to have his head turned with a new arrival, he will face stiff competition as the islanders were clearly keen for a new villa mate judging by their enthusiasm for the battle to pick the bombshell.

Speaking about the challenge, VIP event manager Aaron says: "I think that’s the most competitive I’ve ever seen them [the girls] – game faces on!"

Kaz adds: "Girl power was through the roof!"
