Several Love Island contestants have taken to social media to share their furious reaction to Sunday night’s reunion - with some labelling the chat show ‘boring’ and a ‘waste of time’.
Viewers tuned in on Sunday night to see this year’s islanders reconnect and touch base with what they’ve been up to for the past two weeks since the final.
However, fans were left disappointed with a series of bizarre choices including not giving Tyler and Kaz a sofa chat despite them being finalists, awkward run-ins with the stars and their exes, and others seemingly unwilling to chat.
Fans at home described the Laura Whitmore fronted special as ‘ awkward’ and ‘anticlimactic’ as the 90-minute show wound to a close.
Turns out, the islanders were feeling it too, with Shannon Singh - who was dumped after less than two days in the villa - going live on Instagram shortly afterwards.
In a clip that’s since been shared online, Shannon is seen walking through the streets late at night while talking to her camera.
She tells her followers: “It was a f***ing waste of time, but I went, miss 48-hour gang.
"So yeah I’m going to cuddle in bed with a Domino’s and celebrate that Love Island is over.”
“Guys I ain’t bitter - I’m glowing!” the Scottish lass added.
“But yeah, what a waste of time, like again, there was really no need for me to be there. But it was great seeing everyone ... and yeah."
Meanwhile, Georgia Townend posted a TikTok lipsync video from the back of a cab, titling the clip: “Me after saying 2 words at the world’s most uneventful love island reunion”
Mouthing the words of an overexcited fan at a Spurs match that went viral, Georgia acts faux animated as she says: “That was crazy! I’ve never actually experienced that sort of atmosphere at a game before - it’s absolutely electric. The passion. Everything we’ve seen from both sets of fans.
“To be honest with you today was just an absolutely mad game and I’m glad that they can go now, they’ve had their day out and they can f**k off home.”
Someone else in the cab with her is then heard chuckling at the joke.
Driving the point home even further, a fan wrote underneath “I’m glad the islanders know how dead the reunion was” to which she responded: “We are.”
Faye Winter and Teddy Soares even skipped out on the show’s afterparty, instead choosing to head back to their hotel for a relaxed night in instead.
Others hit MNKY in London, where they were given the VIP treatment as they celebrated the end of the show.
