Love Island stars Sam Bird and Georgia Steel 'avoid awkward reunion at club night' following split

Broken Love Island couple Georgia Steel and Sam Bird managed to avoid an awkward reunion at a club night by appearing 10 minutes apart.

The couple, who got together on the ITV2 show, announced they had split last week with a “devastated” Bird suspicious of his girlfriend’s loyalty.

And the duo were both booked to appear at a club night in Gloucester last week but neither of them wanted to drop out, leading to a plan to avoid locking eyes.

Both were pictured on social media attending the club night but never appeared to be in the same room.

A source told OK! Online: “Their appearances were about 10 minutes apart.

“When Georgia came in, Sam went into the cheesy room upstairs but still stayed in the club. Neither of them spoke.”

The insider added that they “heard Bird speak about Steele” but Steele allegedly didn’t refer to her ex.

Shortly after their split, Bird claimed that it was because of her ex that the relationship had failed. Steel denied any third party involvement in their split.

In a now-deleted Instagram statement, she wrote: “Last night Sam told me he was going to the press so I just want to make clear ahead of any interviews that there was NO third party involved in the break up between him and I.

“Sam thinks I cheated because he went through my phone, read and took screen shots of banter I had between me and my best mate which he’s now threatening to sell to the press.

“The banter was about my ex-boyfriend from which he’s then put two and two together and come up with an imaginary scenario.”

In an interview with The Sun, Bird claimed that Steel led a “double life” behind his back and that he was left “heartbroken” reading messages between her and a friend talking about staying with her ex-boyfriend overnight.
