Love Island star Sophie Gradon's boyfriend 'dies weeks after her death'

The boyfriend of Love Island star Sophie Gradon has reportedly died weeks after her death.

Aaron Armstrong's body is said to have been found at a house in Blyth, Northumberland on Tuesday (10 July).

The 25-year-old last posted on social media on Monday sharing a touching tribute to his late girlfriend.

On Instagram, he wrote: “Just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much man Sophie, not a minute goes by without your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back. I love you princess.”

A Northumbria Police spokesperson confirmed: “At around 12.20pm today (July 10) police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth. There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”

Gradon, 32, died on 21 June. Her body had reportedly been found by Armstrong at her parents' house in Ponteland, Northumberland. A cause of death was immediately unclear.

Following the discovery, he posted a photo of himself with her on his Facebook page and wrote: “I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your [sic] my world forever ever and always.”

Gradon made history on Love Island as one half of the show's first same-sex couple with contestant Katie Salmon. She was born in Newcastle and crowned Miss Great Britain in 2009.
