Love Island's Sharon Gaffka shares a secret connection to former Islander Molly-Mae Hague and it all has to do with beauty pageants.
The 25-year-old hails from Oxford and said she applied for the dating competition as she is the most "outrageous" one of her friendship group.
And now, she revealed that she used to take part in beauty pageants, something that fan-favourite Molly-Mae, 22, used to also do.
"I used to do pageants," she revealed when asked if she knew any of the former Islanders. "Molly-Mae and I had the same pageant director."
Sharon continued: "I was Miss International UK."
The pageant queen, who won Miss International UK in 2018, has worked in a number of government departments since she was 18 and had been doing Brexit policy last year.
She said: "I did a stint during the Coronavirus pandemic in the Department of Health so I was helping deliver testing kits and managing the operations. It’s been an intense year!"
Asked what she was looking for in a romantic partner, she said: "I have this thing where if something doesn’t work out with one person, I’ll try and go for the other extreme to see if that works out.
"I tend to date someone who is taller than me, even though my last long-term partner, he was actually someone who was shorter than me. I’m quite an intellectual person so I want someone who can kind of match that."
Sharon, who has already gathered over 22,000 Instagram followers, is also an ambassador for The Young Women's Trust - a feminist organisation working to achieve economic justice for young women.
Unfortunately, Sharon has failed to find a spark with any of the boys in the villa so far, and things turned sour between her and Aaron Francis when he told her that he didn't like how she reacted during a row one night.
Hopefully Sharon will click with a bombshell when the boys head to Casa Amor and the girls are treated to a few new males.
