Love Island star Olivia Attwood says it's 'unacceptable' to have children at weddings

Love Island's Olivia Attwood says it's 'unacceptable' for children to attend weddings. The influencer went as far to say that if she had her own children, she wouldn’t want them at her own nuptial celebration.

Olivia, who appeared on the third series of the ITV reality dating show in 2017, appeared on Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing’s ‘Private Parts’ podcast where she made comments saying she thinks children should not be at weddings.

"Kids at weddings thing for me is absolutely unacceptable. Even if I had my own children, I wouldn't invite them,” she said.

"I haven't got a baby yet, so I don't know that love that they talk about. But, when I see like the bride with this little thing hanging off her dress, it's little grubby hands, I'm like 'what the f***?'.

“You know, Vera Wang, silk dress, and you put your little grubby chicken finger hands all over it."

She also said she hated hearing babies crying during a wedding ceremony.

The TV personality’s comments left people divided, while some felt children should be a part of special occasions like weddings, others agreed children could ruin them.

One person who agreed with Olivia said: "Couldn't agree more!" and another added: "Agree. I didn’t want kids at mine. Someone brought theirs uninvited. They screamed throughout the ceremony. The mum wouldn’t leave the church either."

Another said "as a kid who went to weddings” they admitted to either not remembering them, being “extremely bored or traumatised from all the drunk adults” adding that children at weddings is a “waste of money & an invite".

Others disagreed, wanting to have children at their own wedding. One person said: "My son will be at mine and so will my nephew. They are a part of my life forever so why would I not include them in my special day" and another said: "Each to their own! I had children at mine. My own son was 4 months old at the time and was as quiet as a mouse."

Olivia and her fiancé Bradley Dack's upcoming wedding will feature in the new TV series Olivia Marries Her Match.

The 31 year old, who has been engaged to footballer Bradley, 29, since 2019, is filming the lead up to her big day for the ITVBe show as well as the ceremony itself, which will be attended by the couple's close family and friends.
