Love Island star Malin Andersson announces pregnancy two years after daughter's death

Former Love Island contestant Malin Andersson has announced she is pregnant.

The reality TV star's joyful news comes after she suffered the tragic loss of her one-month old daughter in 2019 - and a miscarriage in April this year.

Malin appeared on season 2 of the popular ITV2 dating show - and she shared a touching post with her Instagram followers today to reveal she is expecting her second child.

The image shows her and her partner holding Malin's bump with a message to say how she is overwhelmed as she approaches the 'next chapter' of her life.

The post read: "My next chapter. My new beginning. My happy ending. My entire universe. All mine.

I can’t describe to you all how I feel writing this."

"Everything I’ve ever wanted, everything I visualised. A solid partner in my life, who has been there in the background - witnessed my life over the past 4 years and has stuck by me as a friend.. and now a lover.

"This couldn’t feel any more right - and we’re now bringing a beautiful soul into this world."

Malin is expecting the child with her partner Jared - and she revealed in an interview with OK! how she is adapting to being pregnant again.

The 28-year-old said: "It feels surreal to be pregnant again, but I'm taking each day slowly and really enjoying and embracing each moment and milestone. I'm really loving the changes to my body. It feels like 'home'."

Malin's daughter Consy sadly passed away two years ago after being born seven weeks premature. She was named after Malin's mother who died after battling cancer in 2017 - and the post ended with a tribute to the two.

She said: "Mumma - I know you’re looking down with bright eyes and a big smile. Baby Consy - protect us from above. This is us now."
