Love Island star Lucie Donlan learns some Irish on flying visit to Dublin but she hasn't tried Guinness

Love Island's Lucie Donlan was in town yesterday as part of a promotional appearance and she picked up a cupla focail on her short visit.

The reality star, 21, showed off her Irish language skills, writing "Go raibh maith agat Dublin", as she posed outside the JD Sports store in Dublin's Jervis Centre.

The blonde beauty jetted into Ireland alongside Love Island pal Belle Hassan to do meet and greets with fans at the store.

They shared snaps of hordes of excited young fans eager to meet them on their Instagram Stories.

"Love you all, thank you for making us feel welcome", Lucie wrote.

During the appearance, Lucie was asked if she'd tried Guinness yet but the Cornish surfer admitted she's not tempted.

"No we haven't, I'm not a big drinker to be honest but I feel like I might have to", she revealed.

Later on, Lucie and Belle appeared on Virgin Media One's Six O'Clock Show last night where they chatted to hosts Muireann O’Connell and Martin King about love and life after Love Island.

Both girls admitted it has taken some time to adjust to their newfound fame.

Lucie said: "It's crazy really, you go from doing a normal job, and it's madness to coming back to people walking past your house, speaking to you, people coming asking for photos, it's madness.

Belle added: "I had no idea. I went in Casa Amor, I thought I'd only be in there for five days, nobody'll fancy me and I'd go home. I ended up staying for nearly five weeks and when you come out, everybody knows your name, you're busy all the time and it's just a shock."

And Lucie revealed she kept her reunion with Joe Garratt a secret to keep the pressure off their relationship and to see if it would work in the "real world".

"We dated on the downlow because we wanted it to be normal, as you would do in the normal world, go on dates, you don't need to go and tell everyone.

"We're together now and it's really nice".

Meanwhile, Belle confirmed she's not back together with Anton Danyluk but added that they were still good friends.

"There's no bad blood, we haven't fallen out, we're still fine", she said.
