Love Island star Jack Fincham vows to 'prove people wrong' after drug drive charge

Jack Fincham has vowed to prove people wrong as he insists that 2022 is his year to blossom.

The former Love Island winner, 30, endured quite a difficult year after he was arrested for a drug-driving charge amid a declining mental health battle.

Earlier this month, Jack's drug driving trial was dropped just days before he was due in court, and a couple of weeks on, the reality TV star has promised to turn his life around in the new year.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the Essex-native looked sharp in a dapper plaid blazer as he posed confidently.

Alongside Jack's latest social media offering, he shared his hopes and desires for the year ahead.

"2022 is mine," the star captioned the post.

"Right my wrongs , clean slate and and more importantly prove myself right and certain people wrong.

"A year of success to come."

Jack's motivational post comes after the star denied taking cocaine and Valium before driving his £30,000 Mercedes last January.

The much-loved star, who appeared on Love Island in 2018, was alleged to have had 239 micrograms of benzoylecgonine - a by-product of cocaine - in his blood when police pulled him over near his home in Swanley, Kent, at the beginning of the year.

Earlier this month, Jack was due to appear at the Maidstone Magistrates' Court, but the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case.

The star - who is a dad to 11-month-old daughter Blossom - is now focussing on taking some time for himself now that legal proceedings have been dropped.

A source close to the star said he is looking at undertaking some charity work in the coming weeks and hopes to 'reinvent' his public image.

"Jack has been raising money for children at Great Ormond Street Hospital and is working on himself, giving back to causes that are important to him," his pal told The Sun.

"He wants to go into 2022 with a positive public perception. His focus is on reinventing himself and establishing himself as a TV personality once again."

The Mirror has reached out to Jack's representatives for further comment.
