Love Island star Gemma Owen's mum warns her 'no more drama' at homecoming party

Love Island star Gemma Owen has been issued a warning from her mum as she makes her return home after her summer in the villa.

The 19-year-old reality TV star had featured on the latest season of the popular dating show, with her coupling up with Luca Bish and going on to finish in second place after Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.

Gemma was elated to be reunited with her mum, Louise Bonsall, at London Stansted Airport on Wednesday when she made her return to the UK. Louise was also joined by her three other children, Jessica, Emily and James but famous dad Michael Owen stayed away from the public reunion in London.

The former Liverpool FC striker reconnected with his daughter Gemma in their Cheshire mansion, with Louise sharing sweet snaps of the dad and daughter duo on Instagram.

Although in a nod to the ' cursed beanbag ' of the latest season of the show, Louise shared a picture of Gemma and Michael grinning from a yellow beanbag in their garden.

Louise joked: "Oh no not more drama!! [palm tree emoji]"

It was revealed that Love Island contestants had developed a superstition that anyone who sat on the yellow beanbag would be cursed with a dramatic night in the villa.

The family reunion comes after Luca publicly shared a message to Gemma after he admitted that a row broke out between them at the Love Island reunion.

It was reported that producers from the show were "forced to step in", the couple left the reunion early with Gemma hiding her face from the paparazzi. Luca held Gemma's bag as they made their way to their hotel.

Watching the tension ripple between the Love Island runners up, a photographer quipped to Luca: "You've got your hands full there!"

Luca replied: "Oh don't mate! She's got the right hump with me!"

The two seem to have made up, with Luca posting to his Instagram in an attempt to 'sell' Brighton to Gemma in hopes of her considering moving to his home town.

Luca shared a video of two horses in front of him with more being seen in the background on his Instagram story.

He then addressed Gemma publicly as he wrote: "Am I selling Brighton to you yet @gemownen_1?," followed by an eyes emoji, horse emoji and house emoji, hinting at hopes to set up home with Gemma in Brighton.
