Love Island star Eyal Booker claims producers are pulling back on the sex scenes to allow for it to establish itself as a ‘family friendly show’.
The former islander, who took part in season four last year added that he is backing Irish model Maura Higgins to take the prize in Monday's final.
Viewers have been speculating whether the lack of sex scenes this season is due to lack of activity or a decision on behalf of producers.
And ex-islander Eyal claims it is an intentional move by producers to make the show more suitable for younger viewers.

Speaking to Irish Daily Mirror, he told: “I think it was probably an intentional call and I think as the show continues to grow and reach a wider demographic and a younger demographic of kids that shouldn’t be maybe watching it but are watching it and it is becoming more of a family friendly show.
“So I think they are just being wise to the fact that people in there are becoming role models and they don’t need to show everything.
“I think people in there are probably as sexually active in there as they have always been and it’s just more about the relationships and the drama unfolding than it is about sex scenes.”
And when asked if he regrets them not having made the decision earlier, to avoid his own intimate scenes being aired last year, he added: “No, to be honest I am who I am and I do what I do so I have no shame, it’s human nature and nobody saw anything explicit.”
With just one sleep until the new winners are crowned and presented with the 56,000 envelope, he said he is backing Longford ring girl Maura to be standing next to Caroline Flack as the winner tomorrow night.
He said: “Well obviously, I am in Ireland and Maura is a character on the show and I think her and Curtis could potentially win it . I think they are a later relationship but we have still seen enough time of their relationship unfold so I am backing them. And Tommy and Molly have a great chance as well.”

Meanwhile, commenting on the ‘manly’ jibes towards Dancing with the Stars’ Curtis Pritchard earlier in the week, he added: “I think it does have an affect but I think Curtis is aware that he is not the manliest man and he was making a joke of it.
“But it is the 21st Century we can be who we want to be and behave however we want.
“So I think he is actually an inspiration to kind of younger kids out there who want to follow in his footsteps or go down an avenue that isn’t portrayed as the manliest avenue and show that you can still be a straight man on a dating show and still get the girls you want to get and maybe he is slightly more feminine than others.”
