Love Island star declares she's 'curvy and proud' as she shows her 'normal body' and wows with new hair

She won hearts on the 2021 series of Love Island and Liberty Poole sent pulses races while sharing an important message. The 23-year-old reality star, who was applauded after she made the decision to walk from the ITV2 dating show just days ahead of the final after realising things weren't meant to be with Jake Cornish, has floored fans with new photos of herself in a plunging red swimsuit.

Liberty celebrated her 'normal body' as she declared: "Curvy and proud!!" and in a frank Instagram post she admitted she's decided against altering her body in the stunning holiday snaps as she posed in a pool with a cooling drink. "I was tempted to lift my natural boobs in this picture so they looked 'perfect' shrink the bloating but no this is me!!" she wrote.

"So why would I, this is real and this is a normal body despite what beauty standards say just be you. MY BODY MY STANDARDS," she said. And pointing out her new brunette tresses with added blonde, she exclaimed gleefully: "Ps new hair!!!"

The compliments came pouring in with love heart and flame emojis. Tasha Ghouri from Love Island 2022 admired: "This hair on you!!!" and Coco Lodge gasped: "Wowwww."

Her fellow 2021 Islander Faye Winter praised: "You’re amazing." Demi Jones from the 2020 series pointed out: "You’re glowing" and Liberty's villa bestie Kaz Kamwi replied: "Badddddieee."

Annemariepowell told her: "Please keep on keeping it real." Natalie Mariea replied: "You are unreal. Thanks for posting and encouraging others to show their true selfs." And nicwalker13 said: "Totally inspiring for teen girls well done gorgeous girlie xx"

Earlier this year she was applauded for sharing an inspirational Valentine's Day message of body positivity as she urged fans to love their bodies and called for imperfections to be 'normalised' on social media. As she shared pictures from a photoshoot and behind-the-scenes snaps and video of herself in a scorching red underwear set she explained: "You can look like this posed, however..." Liberty then shared an unposed picture of herself smiling widely as she lay back and grabbed her tummy and urged: "NORMALISE NORMAL BODIES!!"

Liberty also shared some final snaps from the shoot - one of her in a posed standing position and another of her beaming as she showed her 'normal' tummy. "Happy Valentines - Love your body and normalise imperfections on social media," she typed. "Couldn’t think of a better day to accept every part of ourselves! My tummy has always been one of my biggest insecurities it’s where I gain weight and I suffer with being very bloated at times. But you know what that’s normal!

"So we shouldn’t be made to feel like it isn’t. Growing up and still to this day sometimes I still feel the need to look picture perfect but it isn’t day to day life.

"We have good days, bad days and all the days in-between. I felt like I had to lose weight to fit in with the low waist skirt and cargo fashion trend otherwise people would stare at my tummy and assume I was pregnant or comment on it.

"And you know what I went out in low waist the other day and didn’t care!! Everyday I choose me over anyone so I owe it to myself to love every part of me to posed and unposed. If I can do it YOU can too . Love you all Lib."

Last year Liberty, who was a contestant on the ITV skating show Dancing On Ice, posted a selection of snaps of herself on a Barbie-style photoshoot in a pink bikini as she urged: "Barbie but make it real. Instead of trying to be perfect all the time let’s be proud of our imperfections."

With one image of herself holding her middle she said: "Having a tummy is normal." And with another snap she said: "Being bloated is normal." Liberty also emphasised that back rolls, cellulite and 'hip dips' are all "normal" and messaged "be you."
