Curtis Pritchard's awkward history with Maura Higgins was exposed on tonight's Love Island .
There was an explosive first meeting between the sexy new singletons and the girls already in the villa, but Curtis seemed very keen to keep the peace.
His motivations for calming everyone down soon became very clear as he revealed he had already slid into Maura's DMs.
One of the most cringe moments came when Curtis realised that he already knows Irish grid girl - but she failed to recognise him.
The pair had a very awkward first meeting as they shared an uneasy hug while Curtis asked: "You are Irish?"
Taking Danny to one side for a chat, the professional dancer admitted he had messaged Amy on Instagram at the start of the year.
Curtis said: "I messaged her on Instagram one time saying she was really good looking."
Giggling Danny burst into laughter as the reject admitted: "And she never replied to me."
Danny replied: "Now she’s come in here looking for love and she wants what you’ve got."
Claiming his relationship with Amy was solid, Curtis added: "My head has not turned at all"

Love Island fans took to Twitter after watching the cringeworthy moment.
"Curtis sliding into Maura’s DMs, being aired then having to live in the villa with her is quality," said one viewer.
Another added: "Don’t worry Curtis, I have slidden in to half of the girls on Instagram and had no reply too"
"So Curtis she never even replied to your DM and you are opening this can of worms for Amy to find out and lose composure," said a third.
A fourth said: "“And she never replied to me” should have kept that one to yaself Curtis"
