Love Island star Chuggs says Brad is 'playing a game' and 'could jump ship again'

Chuggs Wallis has branded Brad McClelland a player and reckons the Northumberland lad would ditch Lucinda Strafford if a more attractive woman entered the Love Island villa.

The 23-year-old businessman was the second contestant on Love Island to be ditched from the villa in the current series – after Rachel Finni chose Brad over Chuggs in a dramatic re-coupling scene.

Chuggs says Brad sold Rachel a dream in order to win her over – and protect himself from being given the chop from the villa – only for him to ditch her the minute Lucinda entered the villa.

Chuggs thinks Brad would pull the same trick again in the future – while the 26-year-old labourer himself currently stands to be dumped from the Island after he and 21-year-old Lucinda were voted the least convincing couple by viewers.

Speaking to Simon Gross on his weekly Love Island Extra Instagram Show, Chuggs explained: “Brad And Lucinda are least compatible after he sold the dream to Rachel and ditched her – the public may think he is selling the dream also to Lucinda!”

Chuggs accuses his former fellow Islander of playing games in the villa.

He said: “Brad is not stupid he was playing a game with Rachel he told me he wasn’t interested in her.

“He genuinely does fancy Lucinda- I mean who wouldn’t. It would be interesting to see if another girl better looking than Lucinda walked if he would jump ship and again?”

Love Island viewers have been left on a cliffhanger after Tuesday night’s episode saw the public vote Brad and Lucinda the least convincing pairing in the vila.

The blue eyed hunk and the blonde haired beauty will now have to decide between themselves which of them will be dumped from the villa – with the brutal decision due to air in tonight’s episode.

Reflecting on his own time in the house, Chuggs blames his own short-lived experience on the fact he forgot he was there to play a game.

He said: “I came in as a bombshell I was the guy who had to steal the girl I forgot that was the reason I was there people see me as the posh boy.

“I’m a grafter. I have my own business. Even if I came out with a million followers I’d still go back to my everyday job.”

Chuggs explained that he was allowed to watch two episodes before he arrived in the Villa himself – and after watching those early episodes, he was most excited to meet Shannon Singh and Liberty Poole.

However, Shannon had been given the boot before he arrived, and his own gentlemanly morals stopped him from making a move on Liberty in the Love Island house as she was already paired with Jake Cornish.

He explained: “It was weird the lads befriend you straight away and Im not the type of guy to be a dick to my mates even though I just met them and Jake made it very clear his feelings for Liberty.”

Love Island continues on ITV2 and via the ITV Hub tonight at 9pm.
