Love Island star Aaron Francis' secret connection to the Royals

Aaron Francis will be walking into the Love Island villa with some serious VIP contacts in his phone.

The 24-year-old from London works as a host at celebrity and luxury parties, including at the weddings of two of the Queen’s grand-daughters.

He revealed ahead of the June 28 launch: “Yeah, Eugenie and Beatrice’s [weddings] over the summer. I hosted and chatted. It was nice and intimate. Everyone’s chill.”

Eugenie, the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson wed Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle in 2018. They had their first baby, a son called August, in February this year.

Eugenie’s older sister, Beatrice, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi last year at a socially distanced private event at Royal Lodge, Windsor. She wore a dress that was originally owned by The Queen.

Beatrice announced she was pregnant with her first child in May.

Aaron says that despite meeting A-listers and popstars like Lewis Capaldi, he doesn’t get starstruck – with one notable exception.

“In my job you meet a lot of famous people. Unless you’re Beyonce, I’m not really interested," he joked.

Aaron’s pretty low-key for a Love Island contestant. Unlike the other stars of the latest series, starting on June 28 on ITV2, he doesn’t have a big following on Instagram.

Having said that, most of the pictures he's posted are of him either shirtless, or modelling fashion brands like Asos and Zara.

Aaron has been described as a “sexy ladies’ man with a caring side.”

The show’s producers are hoping he’ll be popular with the women in the villa, and the audience watching at home.

“Bosses think he'll be a real hit in the house with the girls and also get on with the guys,” said an insider.

But what kind of a girl is Aaron looking for? “I need someone passionate about what they are doing,” he admitted.

“You can tell when someone is speaking about something and they are actually smiling while they are talking. I love that. I don’t like when people are doing a job just to make money and then they kind of just live for the weekend. Especially because I work on the weekends.”

Love Island starts at 9pm pm Monday 28 June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
