Love Island spoilers: Yewande and Danny are on the rocks as new girl Arabella turns heads

On the rocks: Are things already over for Yewande and Danny? (Picture: ITV)

There’s trouble in paradise for Yewande and Danny in the latest dispatch from the Love Island villa.

After questioning their connection last week, the couple’s blossoming romance is put under yet more strain as new girl Arabella chooses to go on a date with Danny.

As sparks fly between the pair, the conversation inevitably turns towards his relationship with Yewande, with Danny admitting: “I feel like I’m putting a lot of the effort in and I’m not getting anything back.

“I’m starting to question whether we’re compatible. When you said you wanted to take me on a date, I was really excited.”

Back at the villa, Yewande tries to play it cool, telling Amber, Amy and Anna that it’s “absolutely fine” if he gets on well with Arabella.

“I’ve emotionally prepared myself for that to happen because in my head I already knew it was going to happen,” she says. “I have zero trust in men!”

Weighing in with some advice, Michael tells her that his friend has “been putting a lot of effort in and he feels like he is getting nothing back.

“He feels like he is taking one step forward and two steps back.”

Tensions rise when Danny returns from his date and immediately heads over to the boys for a debrief. Feeling slighted, Yewande describes his behaviour as “just rude” as she vents in the Beach Hut.

“If I went on a date and came back, I would say something,” she says. “Obviously, he didn’t feel like that was very important.”

Meanwhile Danny opens up to the boys, telling them: “I need to figure out if me and Yewande are that compatible. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a really good date.”

“Even if she didn’t come in, me and Yewande still needed to talk,” he adds.

Love Island continues at 9pm tonight on ITV2.
