Love Island spoilers: Maura and Molly-Mae battle it out over Tommy as the drama heats up

Maura and Molly-Mae battle it out for Tommy’s affections as the Love Island villa recovers from a night of explosive rows.

Molly-Mae, who is currently coupled up with the boxer, was less than impressed to learn that new girl Maura had caught Tommy’s eye on their dinner date during last night’s episode.

After he made his interest in the new islander clear, Molly-Mae confronted him in a dramatic showdown.

Tonight’s episode sees the romantic rivalry continue between the two girls, who are both equally determined to vie for Tommy’s attention.

Tensions bubble to the surface as Molly-Mae attempts to make her interest clear, telling Maura: “Tommy and I have been getting on really well. I’ve spent a lot of time with him in this villa.”

The Irish model responds by asking about last night’s argument, prompting Molly-Mae to admit: “I feel like he prioritised you before even making sure I was ok.”

Maura makes her intentions clear, telling her rival that she feels “a connection” between her and Tommy and “want[s] to pursue that.”

Speaking in the Beach Hut later, she adds: “I don’t need to ask Molly-Mae’s permission to crack on with Tommy Fury. Is she joking?”

In demand: Tommy must choose between the two girls (ITV)

After things get heated with Maura, Molly-Mae is keen to win back Tommy, telling him that the new girls’ arrival “made [her] realise a lot of things.”

“You’re the guy I like in here,” she says. “ I do want to show you that I still like you. If you feel like what you have with Maura, after knowing the girl for 24 hours, is stronger than what you have with me then that’s absolutely fine.

“Personally, I don’t feel like you’re going to get on with Maura better than you get along with me.”

Tommy weighs up his options in the Beach Hut, admitting: “Maura has been in here a day and she has already told me more than what Molly-Mae has told me in six days.

“It’s a hard decision to make because me and Molly-Mae have a good connection but now the tables have turned.”

He will have to make his mind up quickly as Maura is keen to make a move. As the pair head to the day beds for a chat, she decides to step things up a notch, asking Tommy: “What about if I asked you to kiss me?”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
