Love Island spoilers: Joe regrets getting 'jealous' of Lucie and Tommy as the love square continues

Joe expresses his regret at becoming “jealous” of Lucie and Tommy in the latest episode of Love Island - but that doesn’t stop the sandwich king from cracking on with Amber.

The catering company owner was criticised by viewers during last night’s instalment for acting in a “possessive” manner towards the surfer-slash-model after she went on a date with Tommy.

However, it seems that the 22-year-old has since seen the error of his ways, as he admits he “slipped up big time.”

“I definitely messed up,” he tells his love interest in a new clip released ahead of tonight’s episode.

“I’m still very much invested in you and you’re still very much the one I like.”

Speaking in the Beach Hut, he adds: “I got jealous and I acted off pure emotion and I’m really regretting it now.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Joe approaches Amber, telling her that she is “probably the kind of girl [he] would go for.”

“I feel like not only are you loyal, I feel like if we were to couple up you’d be straight talking.”

His remarks prompt Lucie to accuse him of double standards, asking: “If you’re flirting with her behind my back, why can’t I talk to Tommy?”

Meanwhile, Anton decides to make a play for Anna - much to Sherif’s dismay.

After announcing his plans to embark on “Operation Double A” he lays things on “factor 60 thick,” telling the social media star: “I do want to know that I find you very attractive. I’ve told all of the boys in here.”

Feeling threatened, Sherif tries to make it clear that he is still interested in Anna - but Anton claims there’s “no romantic connection” between the couple.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
