Sherif Lanre's "leaked Instagram DMs" have claimed he was kicked off Love Island due to a fight with a fellow contestant.
Sherif, who was coupled with Anna in the ITV show, was booted out of the villa after "breaking the rules".
However, it has not yet been confirmed what exactly he did to get kicked from the show, reports Mirror Online.
In a screenshot of a message exchange tweeted by a fashion brand, the 20-year-old appeared to message someone back on Instagram after they asked what had happened.
He supposedly wrote back: "Anton happened. Purposely moving to Anna while I'm right next to him trying to touch her leg.
"Asked him for a chat in private because I wanted to confront him and it got heated and security had to split us up, heartbroken but s*** happens man."
However, an insider has told the Mirror that Sherif did not send the messages.
In a statement, Sherif admitted his "poor judgement" led to him leaving the villa.
"In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa," he said.
"I regret that I didn't conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.
"I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside."
