Love Island series two star Nathan Massey reposts meme slamming new Winter series

Former Love Island winner Nathan Massey has taken to Instagram to slam the new winter series.

The series two star appeared to take aim at Love Island's new installment and first ever winter series on social media just a couple of days into the series.

In a thinly-veiled dig, Nathan reposted a meme which poked fun at the newly formatted show and suggested the 2016 cast was the greatest of all six series.

Alongside the snap which pictured several of his former co-stars, the dad-of-one admitted it was one of the best experiences of his life.

He wrote in the caption: "It was a pleasure to be apart of this season. Some of the best laughs I have ever had and ever will have."

The 25-year-old star finished off the post with one final swipe as he insisted season two was the best and there's no comparison.

"Without being biased ... yea season 2 kicked a**." He wrote.

The happy couple married in low-key ceremony in June 2019; they were surrounded by their family and friends and, of course, their toddler son Freddie.

Cara and Nathan walked away with the £50,000 cash prize after winning the show three years ago.

Since then, they have gone onto have a flourishing romance and raise a child together.

The pair had a rocky blip in their relationship when they broke up shortly after Cara found out she was pregnant with their first child in May 2017.

She had only discovered the news by accident by taking a pregnancy test while in hospital having cancerous cells removed from her cervix.

"They have to check if you're pregnant first, but I said to the doctor: 'I don't think there's any need for that!'" she told OK! Magazine.

"They did it anyway and a nurse came back and said: 'You're pregnant!'

"I was with my mum and we just looked at each other in complete shock. I went in for one thing and came out expecting a baby."

While she and Nathan initially decided to be joint parents without getting back together, it wasn't long before they were romantically reunited.

Fans were delighted in July 2018 when they announced the exciting news they were engaged.

Nathan's post comes after winter series contestant Ollie Williams has left the show after just three days.

The 23-year-old made the decision to leave the villa in South Africa after realising he still had feelings for someone else.

However, fans aren't convinced of Ollie's decision to leave as it comes amid claims he has been involved in trophy hunting in the past.

Ofcom were bombarded with more than 231 complaints after hair-raising pictures emerged online which showed him posing with dead animals.

After the controversial pictures surfaced online, a petition to remove Williams from the ITV2 series had been signed by more than 38,000 people.
