Love Island Scot Shannon Singh dumped 'after refusing to kiss' and 'won't be returning'

Scotland's only Love Island contender Shannon Singh was dumped from the island after 48 hours reportedly because she "wouldn't play ball and refused to kiss anyone".

The influencer and model, 22, was sent a savage text in Wednesday night's show saying she was dumped from the villa after bombshell Chloe Burrows decided to couple with Aaron Francis, leaving Shannon single.

TV insiders have claimed to MailOnline that Shannon was dumped because show bosses weren't pleased that Shannon wasn't really willing to be involved in the saucy games which culminated in her refusal to kiss Toby as part of a challenge, according to The Mirror.

It was also claimed that Shannon didn't make the effort to get to know any of her fellow Islanders in the villa and it has been reported that show bosses will not bring her back for the rumoured 'Casa Amor twist' and she will return home to Scotland.

A source told them: "During her short time in the villa, Shannon didn't get to know anyone, or partake in the games properly, even refusing to kiss any Islanders.

Despite being an early fan favourite Shannon got the text of doom (ITV)

"She had always promised to be a fun and exciting contestant, but she wouldn't engage in the way producers had hoped – and they have no plans for her to make a dramatic return."

A Love Island spokesperson has denied this though, and told MailOnline: "This is simply not true."

Before the show started, Shannon had boasted that she can have "sex up to eight times a day" but she later admitted feeling "anxious" about how quickly romances are expected to move while in the villa.

Shannon said ahead of the series: "I am not the type of girl to go and chuck themselves at guys; it's not my thing. I am actually a bit anxious and apprehensive about how the villa is really fast paced and you are chucked into getting to know people straight away."

Her departure from the villa was one of the quickest in the show's history, with her being given the boot just 48 hours after arriving.

Shannon was unhappy with the speed of her exit but believes she was probably the right person to leave.

She said after leaving the show: "I am a bit gutted. Do you know what, out of all the girls, I think it is fair it's me because I didn't have any emotional attachments to the guys, but all the girls had tiny little things [going on]."

Do you think Shannon should have been dumped or would you have liked her to stay in the villa for longer? Have your say in the comments section.
