Love Island Scot Laura Anderson warns against using FaceApp to change appearance after becoming 'obsessed'

Love Island Scot Laura Anderson says she regrets using FaceApp to change her appearance online, but admits she still uses it for her hair.

Laura who currently lives in Stirling with her dad since returning to Scotland during the coronavirus epidemic, says she used to be ' obsessed ' with the face filtering app which acts like digital cosmetic surgery.

She said: 'I've been seeing people taking about Face App. I didn't know not everyone knew about it. I wondered what you thought of it?

"I got introduced to it a bit late. I won't say who told me what it was. I feel like you get a bit obsessed with it but now I make sure I don't use it because its so obvious to me that it's been used and looks so not real."

She added: "I don't know why people are doing it to old photos. It's worse if you can't tell. I use it for my hair, not going to lie.

"Sometimes I use it for my hair - if it's looking a bit flat I make it more curly."

So yeah I wouldn't advise you to use it cause its mental what you can do and as soon as you realise when you look at people you can tell straight away. It looks like their head is not attached to their neck.

"The moral of this story is don't use FaceApp."

Laura then asked her followers to choose what pictures of hers had been doctored by the application and posted up a series of different shots with brunette and blonde hair.

She ended up admitting that all the blonde ones had been changed by FaceApp.

She said: "Oh my god. I'm so glad I did that poll thing cause I thought it would be really obvious. It was all the blonde ones and all the brunette hadn't been touched at all."

She added : "I thought it was obvious. How mad.

"I guess teach our kids and ourselves not to trust social media especially if you don't know the person.

"We all have good and bad days and have the right to choice but it's always good to take what you see on line with a pinch of salt because let's remember it's not real life."

She ended : "Never let anyones else's pictures get you down. You are the bomb. "
