Love Island's Will and Jessie post heartwarming message as they touchdown in the UK following the final

It's been 24 hours since Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned the winners of Love Island, and as they returned home, semi-finalists Jessie Wynter and Will Young, who came in fifth place in the ITV2 programme, have broken their social media silence with a gushing romantic post together making their relationship Instagram official, as they touched down in the UK.

The English farmer and Australian personal trainer were firm favourites amongst the viewers until they were dumped from the Island with the final in touching distance - although that didn't dampen their spirits as both were pleased to be leaving with the other, having officially become boyfriend and girlfriend just days prior.

Taking to Instagram, the pair posted photos from their final date, London and of them both on Will's farm. The couple captioned the post: "To the Villa, to London, to the FARM. What a crazy, wonderful and life lasting journey this has been. We made friends for life, met each other and more importantly have fallen in love.

"We are so happy that we got this opportunity as without it we may have never met. We just want to thank all of you for the love and support we have gotten, we really couldn’t have done it without you. Love you all Will & Jessie"

Soon after the pair posted this sweet tribute after their time in the Love Island Villa came to an end, friends and even a few celebrity pals took to their comments section to send their love.

Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell wrote: "So happy for you babe !!! Your a uk chick now !!!!! We must catch up !!!!"

Meanwhile fellow Love Islanders Claudia Fogarty and Rosie Seabrook - both of whom were coupled up with Casey O'Gorman - commented: "They’re back" and "Omg I love this".

Ellie Spence and Casey added: "forever my favs love you guys" and "Lambing season pending".

Many fans flooded their Instagram declaring them as the rightful winners of the show. One said: "shouldve been in the final", while another wrote: "THE REAL WINNERS."
