Love Island's Wes Nelson buys brand new £161k Mercedes after becoming millionaire at 21

Love Island star-turned-musician Wes Nelson has splashed out on a flashy new set of wheels.

The star, now 22, told last year how he'd become a millionaire at the age of just 21 after studying hard and making wise financial decisions instead of partying till dawn.

Now, as his music career takes Wes to new heights, he's treated himself to a Mercedes-AMG G63, retailing at around £161K.

"Nah I don’t even know what to say...my new G63 AMG!" he captioned a snap of himself on the bonnet.

"I was a millionaire by the age of 21," Wes explained last year, "And that's not being a show off or anything, but it's wise investments and understanding this life doesn’t last forever."

Wes added to The Sun : "I've been lucky to have so many shows under my belt, and I'm super grateful for that.

"I have a passive income and generational wealth, so my children, whenever they come about, they're not going to have to work again.

He recalled that he was able to avoid falling into a boozy, party-led lifestyle following his meteoric rise to household-name status.

In fact, Wes spent loads of time with podcasts playing through his headphones as he crafted a property empire and built his bank balance.

So despite hitting up clubs for public appearances, he now has "a lot" of properties to his name.

What's more, he's diving headfirst into his blossoming musical career.

Wes, Love Island pals Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty and Zara McDermott were standouts in 2019's celeb edition of The X Factor.

Last year he signed the papers with music industry management EMI Records, a moment he won't soon forget.

Describing it as a "pinch-me moment", he told: "For me, it's most definitely my biggest achievement in my entire life."

Meanwhile, he's reportedly put his name down for the notoriously brutal Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
