Love Island's Welsh winner Liam Reardon makes dig at 'stunning Essex beach' on day out with Millie Court

Love Island winners Liam Reardon and Millie Court are currently apartment-hunting in Millie's home county of Essex.

And in their spare time, Millie has been showing Liam the sights - which it seems are not quite up to his normal standard.

Liam, who is a brickie from Merthyr Tydfil, has taken the mickey out of an unidentified 'stunning beach' in Essex.

Taking to his Instagram stories he said while facing the camera: "So Millie said we are going to this stunning beach and sea in Essex, so I had the Maldives of Essex in my mind."

He then turns the camera to show diggers and dump trucks next to a piece of flat sand with boats bobbing on the water in the background.

Continuing the joke, Liam asked his fans what they think before saying: "I'm quite impressed myself, very very nice" and turned the camera to a laughing Millie.

Of course, back home in Wales Liam is used to having some of the most gorgeous Welsh beaches on his doorstep.

The couple is looking for apartments in Essex after realising they wanted to live together after self-isolation apart and they have recently spent a week in Wales.

Liam had been showing Millie his hometown of Merthyr Tydfil and other Welsh sights such as Pen y Fan.
