Love Island's Welsh brickie Liam Reardon sang a Tom Jones song and fans loved it

As the only Welsh contestant in the Love Island villa, Liam Reardon performed a classic Tom Jones hit in Tuesday night's talent show to the delight of the viewers and other Islanders.

This is not the first time the brickie from Merthyr Tydfil has shown his love for Sir Tom as he admitted he would like a tattoo of the music icon, which you can read more about here.

After a rough previous day and night in the villa, with arguments breaking out between the Islanders over who voted for who as the least compatible couples, the talent show and Liam's performance was what was needed to lighten the mood.

Singing It's Not Unusual to the rest of the villa and throwing in some groovy hip dance moves, Liam quickly cheered everyone up with fellow Islander Jake Cornish saying: "Our boy Liam, he smashed it. I love him more each day, he has just done Wales proud."

Jake was not the only one to love Liam's performance with many fans taking to Twitter to also praise the Welshman.

One said: "Liam singing Tom Jones is so cute, he's enjoying himself and it makes me so happy #LoveIsland."

Another said: "Liam singing Tom Jones was so cute and funny, I don't care what anyone says I loved it #loveisland"

A third added: "Liam singing Tom Jones has made me fall in love even more" with two laughing faces.

And: "Liam singing Tom Jones is something I didn't know I needed but I really did #LoveIsland."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
